Hi I applied at appleone for the Edinburg Texas Branch. I'm a veteran of the Air Force.
I had originally went into workforce to find employment and appleone was a job listing that came up. I went through all the screening and training and last minute I was told that I would be contacted once apple one headquarters reviewed my background information. I do have a few minor charges in my background in which I did explain to apple one- an assistant manager by the name Erika Ramos* that is employed through maximus/ appleone* told me that my background was pending review in which she told me that me writing a brief description was not enough - and I felt forced to write a lengthy description of each charge on my background which I did but really didn't feel comfortable doing after going through this experience and waiting weeks -what they explained to me is that appleone headquarters is still reviewing my information. I did everything I was asked and waited several weeks and was told I was hired on three different occasions and than put on a wait due to background information that I felt forced to give and was almost an invasion of my privacy.
I let Ms.Erika Ramos contact information

I let Mrs.Erika know that I provided all the information and felt my privacy was being invaded. I even spoke with the manager out of this branch. I still have not been contacted and was mis informed on three separate occasions and told I was hired.
I feel this is a very bias decision that was made- as they did tell me that my information was forwarded to apple one headquarters and that review just depends from person to person basis which I didn't understand what that meant .I told them several times that I'm a United States Air Force veteran that had some minor set backs after service and that my charges were minor in nature and not anything that would deter me from work. I put in a lot of work and effort into getting hired and told I was going to be hired on three different occasions I feel this is a bias decision that was made and I was forced to provide extra information that was unnecessary that Mrs.
Erika Ramos was claiming apple one headquarters needed I feel like they never considered me being a veteran and a student and doing activism and philanthropy work was not considered. I really want my application processed because I'm a good citizen and would make a great worker and I should have never went through this.
I have been in contact with Maria Galila who also knows Mrs. Erika Ramos Mrs. Maria Galila is the training specialist and her email is mgalila@***.com
She let me know that my background was pending review and Mrs.
Erika Ramos is the one I would need to be in contact with and so thus far I have done everything they asked and went so far as to provide details on which I did not feel comfortable providing and I felt I they were not completely respecting my privacy and truth as to being a veteran and activist and were forcing me to provide extra information.
I just felt that as a young female student veteran I shouldn't have had to go through this and I want to be employed through appleone because I had to go through a hassle to get this opportunity -which should have been given to me. Thank you all very much.

Nothing is given to anyone. If you have any negative issues on a background check you will not be hired.
You being hired is pending the background check results. You seem very entitled, arrogant and non-apologetic. Finally, you posting here with the company’s name ensured someone will read this. Probably HR and who does the hiring.
They will not be pleased with your attitude. You probably just sabotaged yourself.
I don't believe anything is given to anyone and as I posted on the post* that I went through extensive lengths in providing the information and was still pestered by one of the assistant managers in going to greater lengths - which that is what a background check is for to show and a description should have been enough but theirs a fine line between an invasion of privacy and harassment/pestering someone. I was most definitely not entitled but the company should know what type of workers they are hiring for potential employees because that is a breech of confidentiality that is broken* their is a code in every job that workers must stick by and it's that.
I've worked other jobs I have never been harassed in this way so I know when someone is being extra and lying to me.
The information I provided the first and second time would have been enough. But I am far from entitled I do believe in speaking up for the right things and helping the next potential employee so they will never have to go through these things again.
Young, female, student and veteran. None of those terms (and there aren’t any) absolve you from explaining in as much detail as asked about any charges that show up on a background check. You are claiming invasion of privacy as if someone is grilling you on parking tickets, a divorce or a gap in your work history.
Hello, Yes please, your background is now under review due to the charges. There is a list of categories on information you can provide, also your resume has gaps between each position can you elaborate on why there are gaps?
So I actually was asked about gaps in my background* and mind me I have a resume that has a long list of jobs so yes I have worked other jobs and have never had this level of unprofessionalism sought out so yes I do know when someone is being rude and taking it to far for personal reasons and this above is one of them - which I even explained myself and went into detail* and than Mrs. Erika continued to harass me about the same question asking me not once but like three times to explain my gaps...please tell me that everyone that applies here has no gaps* in their resume- because I know that would be a lie. The problem was not explaining my background it was the fact that I did and than the assistant manager continuing to berate me because she didn't want to take my information at face value literally after providing her with all the information I could so yes it is biased when you aren't doing this to other workers than it is an issue. Please tell me you tell other workers and berate them asking about their gaps.
I had no problem explaining my record it was the fact that after I did I was being asked the same question multiple times and to do it after having done it...so no I don't think I'm absolved from explaining my background that wasn't the issue. The issue was that I provided that information and it wasn't being taken at face value and that is biased because if you aren't doing it to other potential employees than it shouldn't be done.
Apart from my background I was being asked other questions such as if I attend counseling etc that's not even part of a background check and I'm not delusional but that's actually wrong to ask those things especially when theirs other workers working who aren't being asked those questions. The person doing this was altogether wrong and she will be reported because she took it way too far.
